Three Sparks Projects Win BizBash Event Experience Awards

‘Tis the season to sparkle—and these extraordinary wins are ones you won’t find under any tree!

Sparks is honored to receive three awards from the 12th Annual BizBash Event Experience Awards, which recognize leaders of the industry on creativity and innovation over the span of five categories—Destination, Hybrid, Live, Virtual, and Sporting Events & Experiences. Our projects for Siemens, Amazon, and Netflix were honored in the Live Events and Experiences category.

Siemens: The Industrial Metaverse Comes Alive at CES

Best CES Brand Activation

Our work for Siemens’ CES activation was recognized as the “Best CES Brand Activation.” This new award was designed to celebrate the most innovative, imaginative, creative CES brand activation. BizBash highlights that the winning experience should be particularly memorable, as submissions were “judged on executional excellence, convenience, and unique elements that enhance the brand's presence.”

This Siemens project achieved exactly that. The captivating 50’x70’ hybrid exhibit blended custom, rental and technology-driven elements that conveyed Siemens' narrative and greatly increased customer engagement. Siemens' content was showcased across four vignettes, representing how client problems were solved through Siemens’ technology. The exhibit captured the attention of attendees through luminescent cubes brought together with a curated color scheme. By connecting with visitors on an emotional level through client stories, Sparks helped to reinforce the brand as a leading technology company.

Amazon Upfronts 2024

Best Corporate Event Concept

Amazon Upfronts 2024 received recognition with the “Best Corporate Event Concept” award. The winner of this category is selected for excellence in innovation and effectiveness of an event theme or concept planned for a corporation, as well as how strongly that concept aligned with the event’s goal.

At the Upfronts, our cinematic-aesthetic design approach aligned Amazon’s physical presence with their goal to showcase entertainment sectors like Amazon Music, Amazon Live, Prime Video and more. Attendees were greeted at Pier 36 in NYC with an outdoor cinema marquee, an 80' concession stand, and numerous content activations. Then, they were ushered into the Amazon Theater for a fast paced 65-minute presentation featuring surprise celebrity moments. Following the presentation, customers engaged in fun, unique networking experiences with food and beverage and surprise-and-delight moments sprinkled throughout.

Netflix FYSEE: Lights, Camera, Immersion

Best Invitation-Only Event

Sparks’ work for Netflix FYSEE earned the “Best Invitation-Only Event” award, which recognizes successful execution of an exclusive, prestigious event that “lavishly” accomplished the intended purpose. In the case of FYSEE, Sparks’ goal was to design an event that increased excitement and drove Emmy nominations for Netflix shows.

Sparks designed immersive spaces to highlight shows like Baby Reindeer, 3 Body Problem, Avatar: The Last Airbender and more. From the start of their journey, attendees were greeted by a unique entryway with a deconstructed Netflix “N.” Images showcasing Netflix programs were displayed as attendees entered the exhibit and dispersed as they moved through the space, fostering a sense of complete immersion.

Inside 3 Body Problem’s helmet-shaped space, our mini theater-like design approach explored the show and amplified key moments on a large screen (projectors/LEDs). Attendees could interact through touch-to-trigger handprints that altered the content displayed around them and further enhanced their experience. Sparks exhibited countless more hands-on opportunities across the event, which successfully helped to garnish over 40 Emmy nominations for the 2024 season.
