Waze VR Experience Puts Press in the Driver’s Seat

Consumer Electronics Show is the largest global gathering of tech innovators and products focused on the connected future of technology. With more than 4,000 exhibiting companies and over 2.6 million sq. ft. of exhibit space, CES hosts a record-breaking 180,000 industry professionals and more than 7,500 press and media members. If you want to make some noise at CES, you need a very cool experience. The Waze virtual reality experience is just that!

The Waze virtual reality experience introduces the new GPS navigation app to the press at CES. Using Google Cardboard, The VR experience demos the platform and user experience putting users in the driver’s seat on a road trip to Las Vegas. The immersive VR app transports media executives into the world of Waze; a community-driven GPS navigation app where drivers in a specific geography share real-time traffic and road information like accidents, police sightings and alternative routes.

The goal of the VR experience is to give media executives a first-hand look at the tools and engagement opportunities available on the platform through the quirky, animated world that is Waze.

  • Leverage simple, cool Google Cardboard viewer to immerse CES press in the Vegas road trip app
  • Custom VR narrative film that puts attendees in the driver’s seat
