The Moto X product launch celebrates the brand new smartphone from Motorola/Google. Guests head to one of New York City’s iconic party spaces [since closed Tunnel nightclub] for what else—a party! Guests explore and demo the completely customizable new device, snap pics with promo girls in brightly colored wigs and jam out with friends. L.A.-based street artist, Thank You X, creates a custom graffiti-style mural in the Arctic Fox palette along one of the prominent room walls. In an adjacent room, product demo stations are set up with Moto X phones and Moto agents as well as configurator laptops for guests to design their own Moto X. The quick capture feature is demonstrated throughout the space to attendees drinking their Arctic Fox colored drinks, by models in color-coordinated wigs.
Performances by DJs Kaskade and M4SONIC keep the party rocking and celebrity sightings like Common, Chace Crawford and Zosia Mamet create a buzz throughout the night while a digital wall curates guest tweets based on a list of pre-determined keywords.
Moto X is an Android smartphone developed and manufactured by Motorola Mobility. It’s among the company’s first new products after acquisition by Google in 2012. Moto X is primarily aimed at mainstream consumers and features voice recognition, contextual awareness and the choice of custom-order device color options.
