Mars Unveils its M&M’s World® Shanghai Flagship Store
Sparks and Mars partner to refresh the design of the Shanghai M&Ms World® Flagship store (the first ever M&M’s World® location in Asia) fixtures. The objective is to complement the 1,600 sqm location’s new, innovative environment. The space is designed to offer consumers a chance to fully connect with the M&M’s brand in a way that’s immersive, fun, and completely memorable.
Located in Shanghai’s bustling Shimao International Plaza, the “retail-tainment” destination is one of the most technologically advanced and innovative M&M’s World stores across the globe — combining Chinese landmarks and culture with everything consumers love about M&M’s.
“M&M’S World Shanghai has all the colorful M&M'S fun the brand is known for, like the iconic chocolate candies and merchandise including apparel, chocolate candy dispensers, home goods and a variety of souvenirs,” notes the official M&M’s website.
Using a combination of wood, metal, acrylic, solid surface, and graphics, the store’s redesign includes a number of new fixtures that elevate its overall look and bring a new fresh feeling to the location.
The store’s technological innovations provide consumers with a completely engaging experience —and one that is perfect for social media! An exciting, interactive, new feature includes the InnerM analyzer that allows guests to scan their face and create their very own M&M’s avatar to share on their social channels! Another fun feature is a personalized printer that allows guests the chance to create and print personal messages onto M&M’s chocolates, choosing from an assortment of icons and colors.
One of the most advanced new features of the store is its mobile payment option, making for a smooth check-out experience for guests —the Shanghai M&M’s World® store is one of the first to offer this option.
Covering two-floors and featuring a color-changing staircase, vibrant colors and whimsy, the M&M’s World Shanghai Flagship Store is an immersive, interactive, tasty experience that ups the “WOW” factor and perfectly encapsulates the M&M’s brand.
