Google’s Made with Code Teams with Warner Bros. Pictures to Develop the Wonder Woman Coding Project

Inspired by the release of the movie Wonder Woman, Google’s Made with Code, an initiative to champion the next generation of female visionaries, teams with Warner Bros. Pictures to develop the Wonder Woman coding project. To launch the project, the partnership, along with Google Play, brings together more than 100 teen girls from Los Angeles for a day of empowerment, coding and fun. Google Made with Code Wonder Woman engages Sparks to bring the event to life.

The objective: tap into the essence of Wonder Woman’s trademark wisdom and design a memorable, exclusive experience to empower teen girls to build confidence to pursue careers in computer science, engineering and gaming—or wherever their dreams may take them. Make it a day they’ll never forget.

Sparks balances the Google Made with Code Wonder Woman event experience with just the right combinations of learning and fun. Amber Kirsch, Lead Visual Effects producer of the Wonder Woman movie, inspires with stories about her career and illustrates how code plays a role in movie making. Amber lends expertise as brand ambassadors lead the girls through the Wonder Woman coding project. The aim is to teach girls introductory coding principles—with Wonder Woman encouraging them along the way.

The teen girls are treated to a real west coast style event. They snack on “super food” bites and Wonder Woman Cupcakes while they play the new DC Legends of Tomorrow game. They channel their inner super hero at the Wonder Woman photo booth where they strike a pose with Hollywood style props as well as receive an iconic Wonder Women bracelet designed by Alex & Ani. To end the evening, the girls get their Made from Code and Wonder Woman swag just before they jet to a nearby theater for an exclusive advance screening of Wonder Woman Rise of the Warrior movie complete with dinner and popcorn—can’t get anymore Hollywood than that!

Sparks lays the foundation for the amazing event by sourcing the unique LA venue, SmogShoppe, which sets the right tone for the exclusive, but age-appropriate, concept. The space is perfect for creating engaging activations, learning stations and presentation environments. Sparks incorporates brand design elements from Made with Code, Google Play and the Wonder Woman movie throughout the experience’s architecture.
