Women in Events Week Opens in Twelve Cities

September 12, 2018

Today, Sparks unveils a new program in partnership with Event Marketer magazine. Our long-running Women in Events program is now a national initiative. October 22–25 is officially Women in Events Week with programs taking place in twelve cities across the country.

The week-long series of events connect, inspire and acknowledge women in event marketing. Take a look at some of the Women in Events Week programs:

Educational seminars
Half-day sessions feature brand-side speakers, bestselling authors, TrendWatch reports and professional development experts.
Cities: New York and San Francisco

TrendWatch workshops
Late afternoon conversations focus on emerging event trends, professional development and best practices.
Cities: Chicago and Atlanta

Networking wine mixers
Peer-to-peer receptions after seminars and workshops provide plenty of hang time.
Cities: New York and San Francisco

WIE meet-ups
Local meet-ups connect women with colleagues in the industry.
Cities: Austin, Detroit, Dallas, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Portland, and Seattle

Airbnb excursions
Morning trips and excursions get event ladies out of the office and into industry networking activities.
Cities: New York and San Francisco

WIE supper clubs
Evening networking dinners provide connections and spark discussions after the sun goes down.
Cities: New York and San Francisco

As the Women in Events presenting partner, Sparks activates the partnership in multiple ways. We welcome all attendees at each workshop and seminar as we share the stage and co-present professional development content with some of the industry’s brightest minds. All networking mixers are “Sparks WIE Wine Downs” that feature engaging networking activities. A Women in Events Roundtable, co-produced by Sparks and Event Marketer magazine, merges an industry thought leader Q&A session with content from Women in Events programs. And that’s just the start, so, don’t miss out. Come join us!

If you are located in any of the Women in Events Week cities and would like to learn more about ways to assist or participate, reach out to me directly at kelisano@wearesparks.com.
