StockX, a marketplace for Sneakers, Luxury Watches, Luxury Handbags, and Streetwear, makes their ComplexCon debut with a Sparks designed experience. StockX’s unique business model differentiates it from competitors. The startup dubs itself a “stock market of things.” Meaning it employs a “bid/ask” market approach to connect buyers and sellers—kind of like an actual stock market.


The StockX ComplexCon 2017 experience revs up typical sneaker displays for the not-at-all-typical sneaker company. The design puts the brand’s unique concept front and center. The main display features JBF custom-made sneakers made from Spaulding NBA game basketballs and original Michael Jordan jerseys. Every attendee that takes a picture in the booth is entered to win one of ten pairs of custom sneakers. Other displays present a variation of sneakers positioned atop iPad displays running apps that indicate current buy and sell prices in real time. Celebrities such as Big Sean, Steve Aoki and G-Eazy stop by to check out the booth.


ComplexCon 2017 is an expertly curated convention and festival that brings the world of Complex to life. The festival dubbed “our generation’s World Fair,” comes together with the minds behind the event and a Host Committee led by Cultural Director/Executive Chair Pharrell Williams, legendary artist, Takashi Murakami, Off-White designer and founder, Virgil Abloh, Colette co-founder, Sarah Andelman, reggaeton superstar, J. Balvin, and actor/activist, Jaden Smith. The convention is the place to be for music, art, fashion, and FOMO-inducing interactive experiences. It brings together those who to see trends and get their hands on the latest fashions. Musical guests like Gucci Mane, DJ Khaled and Young Thug perform. Attendees lose their mind seeing N.E.R.D’s first performance in three years.
