Sparks partnered with the American Red Cross and Clean the World to provide hurricane relief to those affected, including victims of Hurricane Harvey and Irma.

On Thursday, September 21st, Sparks' local personnel, clients and friends came together at the Sparks' NYC office to assemble 300 "comfort kits" for victims of hurricane disasters. These kits included basic hygiene products including washcloths, razors, lotion, shampoo and conditioner.

If volunteers completed 300 kits, Sparks would match by shipping 3,000 more comfort kids to hurricane victims. Of course, we pulled through and the Red Cross will be sending 3,300 kits to various hurricane relief shelters throughout the southern states. This will provide some comfort for families struggling to meet their most basic needs.

Clean the World has a two-part mission:

  • Collect and recycle soap and hygiene products discarded every day by the hospitality industry and other sectors that generate environmental waste.

  • Through the distribution of these and other donated products to impoverished people, prevent millions of hygiene-related deaths each year, reduce the morbidity rate for hygiene-related illnesses, and encourage vigorous childhood development.
