Google Zeitgeist 2017 Opens with “We the People”
October 31, 2017 |
Google’s Zeitgeist is an intimate gathering of top global and thought leaders who explore ideas that affect our social, economic, political, and cultural surroundings. The three-day event brings together industry pioneers and statespeople, renowned writers and bloggers, scientists and artists, activists and musicians to discuss topics that influence the world around us. The Google Zeitgeist 2017 theme is “We the People.”
Zeitgeist is also an opportunity for Google executives to interact and build relationships with potential and new clients. To ensure a top notch event, Google taps Sparks once again to design and produce this year’s experience. The conference takes place at the beautiful Montelucia Resort and Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona.
Sunday’s evening welcome reception opens the conference. Guests have the option to participate in activities throughout the day such as golf, biking and hiking. Monday brings many amazing speaker sessions from thought leaders from around the world. The day finishes with a cocktail reception, grand dinner and entertainment by Leslie Odom and cast members from Hamilton and headliner, Solange. Tuesday brings a half day of additional incredible speaker sessions and ancillary events. Google executives host smaller groups for lunches and dinners.
Each year at Zeitgeist, the Google Sandbox showcases their latest products and partner innovations and is a not-to-be-missed experience. This year’s high-touch, interactive environment doesn’t disappoint. Experiments with Google feature Chrome, Android, AI, and WebVR. Life of Us by WITHIN is an attendee-driven, multi-user, social VR experience; attendees breathe fire, swim underwater and become creatures that evolve over billions of years. YouTube tackles social issues and promotes awareness, tolerance and empathy across the globe. New to Zeitgeist is the Pop-Up Shop that offers a daily menu of refreshing “techno” treats like nitro-brewed coffee, edible water bubbles and Salt & Straw ice cream.
Sparks experiential design covers the entire Google Zeitgeist 2017 event and includes multiple custom elements, event décor and graphics. A parking lot transforms into a reception and grand dinner complete with custom-built stage. The Sparks team works with each partner to develop demos and design user experiences for their Sandbox interactives. Google and Sparks partner for another successful event.
