Sparks’ Women in Events [WIE] Series Partners with Dress for Success for 2016 Cause Marketing Initiative. Sparks offers support to the following local chapters: Denver, San Francisco, New York, Atlanta, Fairfield County, Boston, Detroit, Los Angeles, and Las Vegas. Sparks supports these organizations based on their individual needs including organizing suiting donation drives. The initiative provides Sparks employees with mentorship opportunities and corporate sponsorships at marquee events.

“Sparks aligns with a new cause every year to ensure over time we provide our entire team with an opportunity to participate in a cause that matters to them,” says Kristy Elisano, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Public Relations at Sparks. “Dress for Success is a natural philanthropic fit for our WIE series, since we share a common goal—empower and encourage women to be successful by providing support for professional and personal achievement.”

The partnership kicks off in Denver as Sparks sponsors the chapter’s Power Walk on April 23, 2016 and continues at the 2016 Experiential Marketing Summit in Denver on May 5, 2016. This is Sparks’ largest annual gathering for WIE. Approximately 300 participants convene to network, learn and support each other. During the Summit, Sparks and Dress for Success Denver host a philanthropic evening where Summit participants and attendees create hundreds of “career bags” filled with daily essentials, such as stationary and cosmetic kits donated from brands like Avon, Ford, ViaSat, RSNA, and NYX Cosmetics. The career bags arm women with professional gear as they enter the Denver job market.

”Dress for Success Denver is honored to partner with Sparks, and their contribution during the Experiential Marketing Summit will help 300 women in the Denver area achieve their employment dreams,” says Guadalupe Pep Torres, Executive Director of Dress for Success Denver. “Together we're sending messages of confidence and courage, reminding each woman that we believe in them.”

Sparks associates participate in various chapters’ mentorship programs. In San Francisco, mentors take part in the chapter’s job training program and job retention panel. Sparks joins fellow sponsors Capital One and Robert Half International as a premier sponsor and fundraising partner for the Annual Fashion Gala on June 22, 2016 where keynote speaker Marne Levine, COO of Instagram, and attendees celebrate 11 years of advancing women.

All nine Sparks U.S. locations hold a Suiting Drive during the month of May.

The mission of Sparks’ WIE series is to assist and encourage industry colleagues to obtain the skills, knowledge, and abilities needed for industry, personal and social achievement, as well as inspire career advancement through shared insights and best practices. As a leading agency with several women in leadership positions, Sparks feels it important to build an industry community for women to network, learn and support each other as they look to grow their professional careers.
