Tech EM: The FBox

Does social media feel played out? I mean, everywhere you go, there are icons to like, tweet, or share everything. Sure there are cases of overuse, but social media is more important now than ever before.

Meet the Fbox. It's a physical device, designed for businesses, which visualizes Facebook 'likes' in real time. It takes just a few moments to set up and go live. Aside from its modern construction and ability to display a company's digital influence, the best feature is its built-in free wifi. The 'smart' wi-fi allows brands to get closer to consumers.

How? When consumers pass by, they're prompted to join the free wi-fi, which directs them to the brand's Facebook page, motivating them to 'like' it. Every Fbox also comes with a free mobile app that brands can use to place offers in front of consumers as messages.

By having consumers visualize their Facebook engagement with the brand, a true offline experience is manufactured from what's normally just a click on a webpage. There's a ton of potential on how it could be used at an event, tradeshow, or experiential marketing campaign. And the whole thing is packaged in a beautiful design that's ripe for customization.
